- “They sent the main pieces of hardware and they then engaged a local locksmith and got them up to speed on what’s involved,” Olford said. “The locksmith installed the whole thing, and supplied the door lock. It was very straightforward. I took them a few hours, and there were no issues.”
“Communication was great. They handled all of the logistics in setting up and installing,” he added.

As for his clients skipping classes in lieu of open gym, “it just hasn’t happened,” he said.
Further, adhering to insurance policies in Australia with unattended access was also a breeze, Olford explained.
- “It was very easy. 24-hour gyms are already well established here, so it was just a matter of installing CCTV cameras,” he said, adding that his premiums only increased by “a small amount.”
Today, HybridAF is benefiting Olford and his members Down Under in the exact same way it does at hundreds of gyms in the United States.
- “It’s going great. It’s super convenient for our members and it means coaches don’t need to get out their keys,” he said.
Further, HybridAF has been a big selling point for attracting new members.
- “We do get new members signing up because it gives them more freedom and opportunity to workout,” he said.
